I saw fibs flow out like a rushing river
From a stunning girl’s mouth, without a quiver.
She made it seem like a breeze,
But I caught the truth with ridiculous ease.
That little white lie she called deception
Was more cumbersome than a baby hippopotamus at inception.
Letting go was like throwing away moldy cheese,
And getting rid of it took effort that could make you quease.
Her words were like a circus act,
A show of tricks and illusions in fact.
But the truth is a clown that always steals the spotlight,
Making it clear that her lies are not quite right.
So let us be wary of those who spin tales,
With practiced ease and skills that never fails.
For in their wake, they leave shattered trust,
And a sense of betrayal that’s drier than a stale piece of toast crust.
