Cats Can Fly Too: The Tale of Pat the Cat, a funny poem by The Given Heart

There was a cat named Pat,
Whose meows sounded like a bat,
She loved to chase mice,
And was always very nice.

Her fur was as soft as silk,
And as white as a glass of milk,
Her eyes were the color of green,
The prettiest you’ve ever seen.

When Pat walked down the street,
She moved as graceful as a fleet,
She was a sight to behold,
With a walk that was smooth and bold.

But one day while Pat was napping,
She woke up and started flapping,
She had grown wings on her back,
And was ready to take off on track.

She soared through the sky like a bird,
Looking down on the world, feeling absurd,
Her paws were still there, but not in use,
As Pat took flight, feeling brand new.

Now Pat is known as Cat-bat,
A feline with wings, what’s up with that?
But she’s still as lovable as ever,
A classic pet, but now much cooler.

The End.
